Magic Meathands team up with Jump Start for full night of improv comedy Saturday night

Subject line kind of says it all.

The Magic Meathands (with me!) will be performing a full hour of live improvised comedy at The Spot Café in Culver City. We’ll be joined by the South Bay-based improv group Jump Start. The show starts Saturday night at 8 PM and costs only $7 for the whole night.

COMMUNITYThe Great Wall of Los Angeles Bubble Bath is looking for volunteers. Help clean up the longest mural in the world (1000 feet depicting the history of Los Angeles from pre-history to now!) by gathering with others at the Great Wall of Los Angeles in Valley Glen, Saturday, 10 AM to 4 PM. This Saturday starting at 8 PM, it’s our Family-Friendly show! We’re joined with fellow improv comedy performance group Jump Start for 2 hours of comedy at The Spot Café in Culver City. Tickets are $7.

MUSICRhino Records Pop Up Store returns to Los Angeles for a special series of concerts to benefit The Recording Academy’s popular music community services charity MusiCares. Opening night features Bob Forrest‘s Thelonius Monster at 10952 Santa Monica Blvd. in Westwood, Friday, 8 PM. Suggested donation of $5-$15. The entire series runs March 27-June 12.

Two Improv Comedy Shows for Memorial Day Weekend!

The Magic Meathands (with me!) are performing twice this weekend in two special team-up shows for bonus laughs!

Saturday night, we’re at our old stomping grounds, The Spot Café and Lounge in Culver City. We’ll be joined by Held2Gether, an improv group based in Long Beach, for a tag-team show starting at 8 PM.

Sunday night, we debut at The Talking Stick in Venice for a very FREE show! Yes, that’s right! FREE! It’s so FREE that I have to use all caps whenever I type it! We’ll be joined by Darwin’s “A” Team, all the way from the faraway nation of Victorville, California. Plus, comedian Ahmed Bharoocha! And even musical accompaniment by Bob Mitchell!

I tell you, there aren’t enough exclamation points in the world for all the exciting aspects of these two shows. (See? I ran out.) Hope to see you at one or even both.

More improv comedy for you this Saturday night! The Magic Meathands (with me!) are teaming up again with the Beach Cities improv group Jump Start for a family-friendly night of comedy.

That’s right, you can bring the kids, bring the teens, bring the moms and dads, bring the grand-moms and grand-dads. And everyone will have a good time! (Probably don’t bring the dog, though. Sorry, Scruffy.)

Fun & Laughs for the Whole Family

This Saturday you can see live comedy made-up entirely on the spot at The Spot. Fully improvised comedy will be performed by the Magic Meathands (with me!) and the South Bay troupe Jump Start.

Come out and enjoy some food and funnies!

The show starts at 8 PM but the place fills up fast, so try to get there as early as you can. Tickets are only $7 for the whole night.
