Improv Show

Improv Comedy Streaming Right to Your Computer Today at 11 AM Pacific / 2 PM Eastern

The Magic Meathands (with me!) will be performing on the hour-long live web show Tool at FWAwebTV.

The production company Tool of North America is putting the show on, streaming live so that we’ll be able to take your suggestions over the intertubes as if we were performing in person right in front of you. Truly, we are in the future!

The show starts at 11:00 AM Pacific. See you then!

Magic Meathands team up with Jump Start for full night of improv comedy Saturday night

Subject line kind of says it all.

The Magic Meathands (with me!) will be performing a full hour of live improvised comedy at The Spot Café in Culver City. We’ll be joined by the South Bay-based improv group Jump Start. The show starts Saturday night at 8 PM and costs only $7 for the whole night.

Here’s the event listing on Facebook for more details.

Laugh for Freedom

This Friday night, I join the Magic Meathands to kick off the July 4th weekend at the Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica. What better way to celebrate our freedom?

It’s a full hour of improvisational theater for comedic results. We’ll be doing a mixture of short-form games and long-form scenarios, using your suggestions. There’s even a chance or two for you to join us on stage, if you are so inclined. And we hope you are.

The ticket for our show is also good for the two shows immediately after us, The Waterbrains and Mission: IMPROVable, two hilarious improv comedy groups.

Friday, July 1, 8 PM
Tickets: $10

Family-Friendly Funnies on Saturday

The Magic Meathands welcome you, your kids, your siblings, your neighbors, your co-workers, your parents, your in-laws, your aunts and uncles, your grandparents! When we say all-ages, we mean all-ages.

This Saturday starting at 8 PM, it’s our Family-Friendly show! We’re joined with fellow improv comedy performance group Jump Start for 2 hours of comedy at The Spot Café in Culver City. Tickets are $7.

Laughers Wanted

The Magic Meathands are in search of laughers. Your job will be to laugh at funny things. No experience necessary but prior laughing is preferred.

Job interviews will be held this Saturday Friday night at 8 PM at the Westside Comedy Theatre in Santa Monica. There is a non-refundable job application fee of $10, which will also allow you to participate two laughing workshops held by The Waterbrains and Mission: IMPROVable.

Good luck.

Two Improv Comedy Shows for Memorial Day Weekend!

The Magic Meathands (with me!) are performing twice this weekend in two special team-up shows for bonus laughs!

Saturday night, we’re at our old stomping grounds, The Spot Café and Lounge in Culver City. We’ll be joined by Held2Gether, an improv group based in Long Beach, for a tag-team show starting at 8 PM.

Sunday night, we debut at The Talking Stick in Venice for a very FREE show! Yes, that’s right! FREE! It’s so FREE that I have to use all caps whenever I type it! We’ll be joined by Darwin’s “A” Team, all the way from the faraway nation of Victorville, California. Plus, comedian Ahmed Bharoocha! And even musical accompaniment by Bob Mitchell!

I tell you, there aren’t enough exclamation points in the world for all the exciting aspects of these two shows. (See? I ran out.) Hope to see you at one or even both.

Sillies this Saturday

More improv comedy for you this Saturday night! The Magic Meathands (with me!) are teaming up again with the Beach Cities improv group Jump Start for a family-friendly night of comedy.

That’s right, you can bring the kids, bring the teens, bring the moms and dads, bring the grand-moms and grand-dads. And everyone will have a good time! (Probably don’t bring the dog, though. Sorry, Scruffy.)

When: Saturday May 14, 2011
Time: 8:00 p.m.
Where: The Spot Cafe and Lounge, 4455 Overland Ave., Culver City, 90230
Cost: $7.00

Oh boy! Funny things!

The Magic Meathands are back, and I’ll be right there with them being incredibly silly!

We’re returning to the famous Westside Comedy Theater in Santa Monica to give you giggles, chuckles, chortles, guffaws, and outright belly laughs. How will we do this? Why, by making it up of course! We perform fully improvised comedy shows using your suggestions to kick off our short form games and long form scenarios.

Immediately following us, you’ll get The Waterbrains and Mission: IMPROVable, two groups fully certified in the art of making you laugh.

Tickets are $10 for the whole night.

Magic Meathands Present Variety Comedy Night with stand-up and improv

This Saturday night, improv comedy troupe The Magic Meathands have a special all-new show! We’re teaming up with the improv group [this space left intentionally blank] and stand-up comics Jeff MacKinnon and Atul Singh for a full 2 hours of late-night comedy.

The show is at the Mary Pickford Studio, 8885 Venice Blvd., Suite 102, Los Angeles, CA 90034.

Tickets are only $5 for the entire night of entertainment! The show starts at 8:30 PM, Saturday, April 23, 2011.

I hope to see you there. The Meathands will be debuting a new late-night format focused on current events. We’ll be riffing on the big news items of the day. You give us the headline, and we’ll turn it into absolute silliness. (Of course in some instances, this may not be that much of a stretch.)
